Confirmed from Dartmoor/Dunagan (Gate 14)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Such a great hike, uphill yes but manageable. The views are stunning the moment you step into this trail and it only gets better from there. We walked but many people come with their bikes! Kudos to them. Above all, parking is free.

The 1st mile starts out with a badass inclined. Then a long the trail you'd hike up and down the hills. Great workout for your legs. Love it. Just bring extra water & snacks to fuel up your energy. Love it. Moderate to difficult hike.

Hiking Trail with stunning views. The hiking is about 2 miles with an upward slope. It is very close to the Laguna Beach. The trail is well maintained and can get 360 degree view of the Pacific Coastline.

I adore this spot for a 2 mile hike. you get true panoramic ocean views. I normally go here after work and it’s not busy at all, can’t speak to the weekends. it’s definitely one of my top 5 spots for a walk/hike in Orange County.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
