Confirmed from David Fortier River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about David Fortier River Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,115 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 21 mentions

“A beautiful park with breathtaking scenery but a word of caution, the parking lot is tiny and the driveway down to it is narrow and on an incline.”

I loved this place. You were able to get right down into the Rocky River. Jumping on the stones and taking pictures of the waterfalls was so much fun. The trail takes you to another small trail where you can see a covered bridge and parts of the quarry. Picnic table available.

We recently had a photo and video engagement session here, and this park was a true discovery for us. It’s incredibly picturesque, with many beautiful spots perfect for couples as well as families with children.

A beautiful park with breathtaking scenery but a word of caution, the parking lot is tiny and the driveway down to it is narrow and on an incline. The stairs down to the waterfalls are quarried out stone steps so they are uneven and would be hard for some people to venture down.

This park is beautiful. Great place for amazing photo ops. Saw a few people there taking wedding photos. A friend of my husband and I brings us hear when we come to visit Ohio in the fall. It's a perfect place if you want to casually walk around d and take in nature, especially when the leaves are changing colors.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
