Confirmed from Deane's Children's Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Deane's Children's Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (176 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Playground is well maintained and there’s a bathroom!”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Multiple playscapes for different ages of kids, picnic tables, trails, shade, covered areas.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“The park is super clean and very family friendly.”

This park probably has the best play structures of all the ones we have been to in the last 2-3 years. There are at least 3 separate areas for the kids to play (which was helpful when trying to stay relatively distant from others).

★★★★★ — Becca , Oct 2020

Lots of playground options and a big sports field. Easy parking just wish they had better paved areas for stroller or walking in laps. It does get busy at certain times to be prepared for that.

★★★★★ — Sheeva , Dec 2020

Great park with multiple play structures, a bike park, and the cool dragon play structure pictured. Lots of little paths through the trees for the kids to explore. My 7 and 11 year olds loved it!

★★★★★ — Alex , Apr 2026

My kids ages 1-7 had a great time! Multiple playscapes for different ages of kids, picnic tables, trails, shade, covered areas. We had tons of fun!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌳 Shaded / tree cover 7 mentions

“It looks like there might be wooded trails or something further into the park, but we didn’t make it that far with all the other cool things to explore right upon entering.”
