Confirmed from Deerfield Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Deerfield Park
“We only used it for softball so I can't speak to the rest of the fields but the playground in the ball park area is very nice and the grounds are well kept.”
“Had a little park and chill and had a visit from Rifle PD and he was cool and rifle is beautiful.”
All spider in scenery the pass around that park or so amazing to walk with my dogs I have to stop I am awestruck by the scenery the Little Creek that runs through there beautiful area to walk my dog I have to check myself to see if I'm dreaming and it's so beautiful
Very clean and quiet and plenty of room for the dogs to play, and it's divided into 2 areas for large and medium to small dogs to run and play.
Great place for the dogs to run. Lots of room to run. They have a dog water fountain, it needs to be fixed.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
