Confirmed from Desert Trails Bike Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sizable, 35-acre bike park with scenic views, a series of rugged biking trails & some big jumps.
What runners say about Desert Trails Bike Park
“The park is exceptionally well-maintained, and the clear and informative signage makes navigating easy, even if it's your first visit.”
“It's an incredible destination for mountain biking, and I can't wait to return for more thrilling rides in the beautiful Arizona desert!”
We have been coming here for little over a year now. My son absolutely loves it (he is 3 years old). Definitely open for children and adults, a nice trail loops around the area and also goes up the hill where the jumps are located.
We love to come and run/walk the trails, being mindful the bikes have the right of way. We look at flowers, rocks, insects stop to rest and enjoy the weather, make new friends. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy our gorgeous AZ sunsets!
I didn't know what to expect when I chose to drive out to Mesa this morning. I remember the trails of years past but they are long gone. The city had increased funding and made this place sick! Imagine the Papago bike jumps if they were well groomed.
Great place for all skill levels. Very clean and maintained well. The workers are a bit rough, stared at my wife the hole time making her a bit uncomfortable while blasting the most ghetto rap i've ever heard. But other than that the lay out is great and the trails are a lot of fun.
Trail conditions & character
“It's an incredible destination for mountain biking, and I can't wait to return for more thrilling rides in the beautiful Arizona desert!”
“Park is mainly used for bikers, but there’s an easy hike you can take to the top of the mountain, which is no more than 80ft of elevation.”
“The place is as firm as concrete and extremely well groomed.”
“Bathrooms are decent, water available and 2 shaded picnic areas to watch the bicyclists (or sometimes scooterists).”
