Confirmed from Dewey Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“We enjoy this one as it good for kids of all ages and provides good shade at times.”

We love the new play set at Dewey Park. So many beautiful trees and leaves to play with. The new play set is so fun. My 2 and 3 yr old love playing in the fake tree that climbs up to the slide. The walking path around the park is great for kids biking and tree identification. Trees have plates with names on it.

Great place to walk all the lil pups. The path is paved and goes around a play area + soccer field. There’s a connection to some neighborhood sidewalks, too. Be advised - my map always tries to take me to the side of the park with no parking lot.

★★★★★ — Sarah , Jan 2024

Nice little park hidden off of busy streets. Lots of fun playground equipment, basketball hoop, two covered shelters with a few tables each and charcoal grills, bathrooms (still locked near the end of March), soccer field, long walking path and plenty of parking!

★★★★☆ — Suzie , Mar 2019

This is a great park for kids of all ages. They have three different sets of playground equipment geared towards different ages, which is great when bringing multiple ages to the park. They have bathrooms and a walking trail, too. There's also a lot of open grass to kick a ball or play catch.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
