Confirmed from Dresden Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Dresden Park is such a peaceful and family-friendly spot in Brookhaven!”

This is a huge 25 acre park! in 2016 Dresden Park was transferred to the City of Chamblee; located in the southeast area of Chamblee, just off Dresden Dr sandwiched between I 85 and Buford Highway.

★★★★★ — Kelly , Nov 2018

We liked the new playground, but the 3 tiers do make it hard to keep an eye on your children. The steps are located along the far sides, so many parents have to slide down the turf hill to keep up with their young kids 🫤 Great concept and super fun for older children, though!

★★★★☆ — Caron , Jan 2026

This park has paved trails which is perfect for strollers and people with disability. There is a creek in the park. The playground could be better.

★★★★★ — Masood , May 2019

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 14 mentions

“The dog park has shade and some areas that are near the dumpster are shady.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
