Confirmed from Dunnville State Wildlife Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dunnville State Wildlife Area
“It very beautiful and great place for hike on red cedar trail”
Awesome nature area with plenty of trail and river walking. Found a beautiful agate!
Beautiful place with nice walking trails. Great for biking since it connects to the main bike path. They have a neat bridge to take pictures at. Careful with the river though! Very fast currents run though there. The beaches along the river are oretry much all rock so make sure to wear good shoes!
Love looking at rocks/agates and this is my favorite spot! Great walking trails, but it's also a great place to just go and get lost a little! Beautiful scenery and wildlife! This time of year though, be careful for flooding!!!!!
Lots of acres and trails to explore. Plenty of deer but herd population is decreasing because of state redevelopment for other kinds of hunts. Place is so different from 10, 15 years ago with great timber and oaks. Deer bedding and food sources are now very scarce.
Trail conditions & character
“Oh, by the way there is a small waterfall at a rest area somewhere around mile markers 8 and 9.”
“The final parking lot and walk to the bottoms of the Red Cedar always make for a nice walk, and an excellent swim retreat with time and the right conditions.”
“Thinking they use Porta pots and take them out for winter.”
