Confirmed from Eagle Creek State Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded, lakefront recreation area offering hunting, fishing & camping, plus a golf course & resort.
What runners say about Eagle Creek State Park Trail
“There are so many trails out there, very well maintained and a lot of fun!”
“Beautiful place, lots of options to access the lake via boat, kayak, or on foot.”
We've been coming to eagle creek to camp for years. The campground is well maintained. The hosts are warm and friendly. There are tons of beautiful hiking trails. It's situated right on Lake Shelbyville for plenty of boating and fishing opportunities. Eagle Creek golf course is also right down the road.
This place is an awesome gem tucked away in Illinois at Lake Shelbyville. We had an amazing stay while we were here for four days. We started @ Oak Ridge tent campsite #2 because we arrived so late Saturday evening. The camp host came and visited us and told us we would enjoy site #15 on the other side of the valley.
Best golf course in a tri county area, the whitetail hunting is phenomenal for public ground, the campground is hosted by an absolute legend. This whole park is truly amazing. The only downside is the state employees are absolutely atrocious and are a true image of the state.
Absolutely love love this campground. The host are phenomenal and super nice people! There are so many trails out there, very well maintained and a lot of fun! It’s great how quiet it is, no one is loud and rowdy. We definitely can’t wait to come back.
