Confirmed from Eastman Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Informative nature center featuring kid-orientated displays and various animals, along with hiking trails and picnics.

Eastman Nature Center, staff, and volunteers have laid the foundation for my appreciation of the natural world and our fellow humans that are a part of it. An excellent nature center inside Elm Creek Park Reserve. The building is very large with lots of glass for viewing wildlife. There are many great displays and clean bathrooms. They have live animals here like snakes and turtles. Also there is a bunch of taxidermy animals and hides.
2-25-24, 2pm We visited the hiking trails behind the Nature Center. We made the full loop, about 3/4 of the hike we took the dirt/ grass paths that follows the paived trail. The side path was great with many better views, the dogs also loved it. Only draw back this time of year, there was a lot of Mudd.
Eastman Nature center is a great place for kids to learn about birds and other animals. Informative displays with gain their interests. Located in the Park Reserve that allows you to get back into nature. Great for hiking...very easy trails. Running, biking, and horse back riding are also an opportunity.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
