We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Echo Lake Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

★★★★★ — Tammy , Nov 2021

The perfect spot for a little picnic or trail walk that’s suitable for the whole family. Pay up park but veterans and their families get in free. Bathrooms on site. A little store open seasonally with shirts, drinks, and some snacks. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. The beach is hard sand but nice for chairs.

★★★★★ — Meredith , Oct 2025

Even BETTER in the winter! No roots! Make it a morning hike and head up to Cathedral Ledge!

★★★★★ — Tyson , Feb 2024

Great trails, although a little hard to find. Beautiful views of the Whitehorse and Cathedral ledges, especially at sunset. Hike up some short but steep trails up to the top of the ledges for a spectacular view of the lake.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
