Confirmed from Eisenhower Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Spacious park with lots of sports fields. The ground is in pretty good condition making it a safe place to run/walk and many weekends there are 5ks on the property. Ample parking around the park.

Long Island has another hidden gem! It’s packed with history and has plenty of parking. I highly recommend walking through Memorial Park. It’s a great place to pay respects to our heroes from the past. You’ll also find a small town called Safety Town, where we used to go as kids to practice driving. Haha!

My wife and I stopped by this terrific park on Memorial Day. It was a real treat since they have a fantastic Veterans Memorial and Walls of Honor that commemorate the contributions of our great nation's veterans in various branches of service.

Came here for the Christmas Light show by Luminosity Festival. It's a big display of Xmas lights that kids will enjoy. Worth going to at least once. The walk around took about 30-45mins for us. Plenty of spots to take pictures at with the kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Eisenhower Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
