Confirmed from Empie Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Empie Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (770 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“It’s never crowded, it’s always clean, and there is a bike trail going through it if they want to ride their bikes or scooters.”

🌳 shaded & cool 6 mentions

“Still unobservant dog owners who fail to pick up, but there are two big shaded runs, Water bowls and kiddie pools, benches and a gazebo.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Great dog park with a large area, water, and lots of dogs! My boys love it there every time we go.”

Very nice park. Tons of parking, 19 tennis courts, bocce ball courts, horse shoe stations, connects to a greenway and lots of bike trails. We went on a Saturday around 9:45 and while it was busy it wasn’t overwhelming at all!

First time here, close by. Decently sized with shade, access to plenty of water. There is soft vinyl pool there for dogs to splash around in which was quite stagnantly gross, and doesn't appear to be cleaned often. Which was reported to me by other dog owners. Pet owners friendly. 🚻 not too far away.

My kids love this park. It’s never crowded, it’s always clean, and there is a bike trail going through it if they want to ride their bikes or scooters.

Great little park. Large area for small kids to run around, swing, climb and slide. Several nice tennis courts and large nice picnic shelters. Wasn't terribly busy. Flowers are blooming. Walking trail around the park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
