Confirmed from England Idlewild Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open-space park with a dog park with a fenced-in area and biking and walking trails for sports, fishing and hiking.
What runners say about England Idlewild Park
“Huge beautiful park adding pickle ball courts Frisbee golf ponds trails really like it”
My husband I enjoy walking this park. It has a lot of trails you can just get lost in. We take our dog and plan to spend several hours exploring. I like taking pictures of the wildflowers and taking in natures beauty while the boys blaze up and down the trails.
Lovely hike. I took the entry trail, intermediate loop and a couple advanced trails. Trails seemed to be well kept, went trudging through the mud yesterday and had a good time. They seem to have identified frequent trouble spots from water and added features to walk around them when it has rained recently.
This park is beautiful and very well spread out. There is a dog park, playground, basketball court, bike trail, workout equipment along walking trail, disc golf, and much more. I believe there are no public restrooms, but there are Porta Potties throughout the park.
Such an amazing place to mountain bike. Beautiful trails! Well maintained. Plenty of options. They even have a skills park that is a lot of fun.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
