Confirmed from Ewing Park Flow Trails Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ewing Park Flow Trails Trailhead
Best all around biking area in Des Moines -- bmx pump track, 3 great flow trails, one with many jumps as well as several singletrack trails in the woods. Well maintained by CITA with new features including two wooden burns added last month. Check it out for yourself!
Lots of fun, variety and a bit of progression. Does a fair amount of maximizing fun with the relatively small amount of vertical. The lines are well taken care of and maintained. There's a nice playground just to the East of the flow trails for the kids to play at, and about 4 miles of singletrack in the woods.
Beautiful park. Awesome trails. Great vibes. Lots to do there. There is a playground for kids. Bike trails. A bike track where kids go racing on. They have a Frisby net field and lots of picnic tables or areas to do so. One of the best parks I have ever seen
Very nice views great place to chill take the dogs for a walk and kids to play loved the view did I say that lol

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
