Confirmed from Fahrens Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
The Black Rascal Bike Path passes through this recreation area with a playground & disc-golf course.
What runners say about Fahrens Park
“This is an older park and could use some care but still clean and safe for kids to play on the swings and slides.”
“There's the smell of all the beautiful eucalyptus trees and the lovely stream.”
“We had both jungle gyms and the swings to ourselves and my granddaughter loved it pluz it was in the shade so nothing was too hot from the sun to play on.”
“It is a quiet and peaceful place, and much nicer than other parks around town.”
It's always a wonderful walk here at Fahrens! There's the smell of all the beautiful eucalyptus trees and the lovely stream. Alot of animal life to see..squirrels, ducks, geese, storks, beavers and there are benches throughout. A place with a canopy to host a birthday party or BBQ.
A great walking path to go with friends to enjoy walking in nature. The area is kept very clean, lawns are mowed regularly and kept green. The path is paved. I walk with other ladies that are also senior citizens and we find it a very pleasant place to take our walks and get our exercise.
It was a wonderful walk along a creek with a crane and some ducks. Well maintained walkways plus some dirt path. I started at the parking lot then all the way to the Snelling Hwy then back and all the way to R Street, about 3 miles by my fitbit and 70 minutes (I did stop to admire the crane and ducks). I loved it
Nice place to chill, take your dog/pup to play or to walk the trail. Peaceful and quiet. Love the view of (I think they are pelicans, but I can be wrong) birds that fly over. A good place to meditate also.
