Confirmed from Fair Haven Fields Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural area featuring a network of dog-friendly walking and hiking trails, plus a pond.

“Great place to take the dog for a walk, or go for a run in the woods”
A few trails start from the parking lot of the preserve. Trails are passable even after previous day’s rain since in many wet spots there are wooden planks to help. It’s a nice oasis in the middle of suburbia. You can hike all trails under one hour.
A really beautiful park. Very dog friendly (note some owners do walk off leash here). Well kept and easy to walk on. Definitely on the smaller side though
Excellent place for a quiet contemplative walk, a healthy run, bird watching, or butterfly watching. The woods are a treasure in the middle of a great town. You know it's a wonderful place to be when you see all the smiling faces of people you pass on the trails. Dogs love it too!
My son and I had a great time exploring the paths! A great place to let your toddler run and explore!

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
