New section of the Canal. 11.17.18🍁The new section of Cheshire trail is great. We decide to visit today, after the first snow-day. The mile-long section goes from West Main Street to Cornwall Avenue to the Main Street.
I love it. You can walk for miles and miles and what could be better than that, outside in/near the woods and river.
Well maintained mostly paved trail that meandered next to or near the Farmington River. We brought our bikes, and on our crisp fall day the trail itself was super nice. All areas that crossed roads had good signage with crosswalks and some alert signals. Many people were out with strollers and runners.
It’s a great trail located in Cheshire which provides a great and enjoyable trail for running,walking, and cycling and many other activities. The white bridges and fall foliage are a great visual experience as well. The trail is almost completely flat with a few exceptions of minor cracks throughout the pavement.
