Confirmed from Ford Field Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Ford Field Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (510 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Clean descent park, excellent locality close to Northville downtown, small river, child play area, and plenty of parking, lots of cute small shops in the area to shop around.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“A walk along the stream is beautiful, you can stop along the way to sit on the benches and watch the ducks swim along.”

What a cute park located next to downtown Northville and adjacent to Mill Race Historical Village. A lot is happening in and around this compact park. The wood playstructure is a lot of fun for kids and plenty of seating for the adults to relax. The baseball diamond is very nice too. A small path circles the park too.

Beautiful park with a big playground, an old-time village with a river and lots of paths for walking. I've taken my daughter here time and time again and we never are bored of it. There is a port-a-potty by the playground.

Great park!! Large walking, jogging trail or push the kids stroller around it. I took the kids here weekly when they were smaller. They loved the park to play at and we watched a few baseball games here too.

Nice pathway, clean with a beautiful play scape for the children. Could use better bathroom facilities, ( 2 porta John's). Along with Mill Race Village makes for a pleasant walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
