Confirmed from Forest Park Hiking Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful and great trails for all ages and athletic abilities”

My favorite forest. And it's right in nyc. It's beautiful. They even do horse back riding through it. Great to run with your dog and see nature. Have been hundreds of times and will be back. Enclosing a picture of marked trails but there's so many unmarked.

Hiking in Forest Park, Queens Living in Forest Hills, I often find solace in the natural beauty of Forest Park, a 543-acre urban oasis nestled in Queens. This park offers a refreshing escape from city life, featuring a diverse array of trails that cater to both casual walkers and seasoned hikers.

Gem. Very nice (usually) quiet walking trail that is accessible from the E, F train. There are 3 trails longest one over 2.5 miles. Sometimes a car sound will ruin the moment but there are some pretty good just quiet forest spots too.

Simply beautiful park it's like a whole different world walking in there I loved it. Also besides all the hidden areas and paths i was able to witness a gorgeous hawk soaring around the trees. If you ever have time to simply walk from the forest hills station to the park it's worth the experience.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
