We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Fred Carter Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Trail-lined park (though some say overgrown or trash-strewn) by a pond for picnics and fishing.
What runners say about Fred Carter Park
“Beautiful place to hike around and enjoy nature.”
I grew up fishing here, last few years there's been a man out there trying to fix up the place and he is doing a marvelous job. There are so many more fishing spots available now and the trail leading back into the woods is a lot easier to navigate now.
Carter park is a great place for hiking but if you are fishing at the pond good luck because the fish population is very low but besides everything else it is a good park
Pretty neat little primitive trail and a seemingly nice fishing pond. Saw signs stating no boating or swimming but nothing said no fishing.
Nice small park, usually not crowded. Many food choices within walking distance, plus a pokestop.
