Confirmed from Frothingham Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice downtown neighborhood park! They have baseball games occasionally, a playground for young children, benches, a basketball court and tennis court. A good place to walk your dog. Parking is on-street (on Park St).

Frothingham is a beautiful park, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who have children 2 and under. This is mostly because the park is huge and not very contained, and there's not much for younger toddlers aside from swings and a sandbox (that older toddlers and kids also enjoy).

Big, spacious park. Baseball field, walking track, basketball court, tennis court, play ground, 3 pokestops and a Pokémon gym. This park has it all. Myfamily has been going here for years and will continue to do so as long as it stands.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
