Confirmed from Gateway Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved, clean path for biking, walking and jogging, offering peaceful views.
What runners say about Gateway Trail
“Extremely well maintained paved trail for biking, waking, running, and walking your pet.”
“Beautiful everywhere, the Gateway Trail was fantastic, should have taken photos or had my GoPro camera recording.”
“They Offer Great Shade On Really Hot Sunny Days, These Trails Are Also Clean & Peaceful.”
I really enjoyed myself here. It has great trail for walking or biking. Lots of birds were there so that’s always fun. Parking was fine and bonus for the port o pot!
I misread this as McDonald’s on the map so some hikers were quite confused when I asked for a McRib and a small coke. All and all I ended up hiking the whole trail before I realized it was not a McDonald’s. A transformative experience nonetheless.
Extremely well maintained paved trail for biking, waking, running, and walking your pet. Nice and scenic with numerous stops along the way. Places to rest.
Very hilly trail to Stillwater. Trail needs repair, very pretty screens, nice place to eat at the Coop in Stillwater. Trail needs some repair. Stillwater is a beautiful little City.

- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
