Confirmed from George W. Childs Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I wasn't disappointed. The trails seemed well maintained and very easy to follow. The upper area at the beginning is very handicapped friendly, but then the trail gets a bit rough. Plus there's a lot of stairs. Not a bad thing, just an observation. I imagine it would be a good place to take the family.

This is a gorgeous park driving distance from Manhattan. The roads, bathrooms and trails are well maintained without entry. Let’s keep it that way folks! I love the smell of nature here. It smells like fir and wood. The crowd is courteous. Driving and parking is manageable.

Absolutely gorgeous park with beautiful waterfalls! Easy paths that are well maintained. Lots of steps in the back of park that are not wheelchair accessible but front half is accessible. Bathrooms were clean and located at the parking lot. Dogs are not allowed.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
