Confirmed from George Wyth State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Multiple lakes for boating, fishing & windsurfing plus multi-use woodland trails, campsites & more.
What runners say about George Wyth State Park
“The road that runs thru the park was smooth and well maintained.”
“Nice windy atmosphere with quite good scenic view… the only disturbance is the vehicle sound.”
“Great place to escape into nature and enjoy family time or peace and quiet.”
Overall an awesome park, lots of river access and several lakes. Great bike paths, very scenic. As for camping, the campground is rather small and tight. However, there are a few sites along the river that can accommodate a small camper. No electricity, but the view is awesome! We had site 18, loved it.
Amazing park for being in the middle of town! Great trails for hiking and biking. Biking trails can be hard to navigate but the trails are on a few mountain biking apps. The lake is always packed in the summer with boats. I would highly recommend renting a kayak and exploring some of the lakes!
Nice park and campground. Sites are spaced well. If you don't want electric hookup, there are some beautiful spots on the river! Shower house is clean and private stalls. Could use more room for changing, but just fine. There is a potable water faucet at the dump station.
It's such a beautiful place! The road that runs thru the park was smooth and well maintained. The entire park has beautiful manicured greenery! We did not see any garbage laying on the ground...again beautiful place!!
