Confirmed from Glendale Narrows Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Glendale Narrows Riverwalk

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (146 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“We get to move freely around this park with the company of beautiful horses, an equestrian, and the Los Angeles River all in one place.”

🏃 great for running 3 mentions

“I love taking a walk or a run with my girlfriend in the mornings all the way to the end of the trail and back.”

This is such a nice place to walk. We saw some horses right when we entered the walking path. They are not always there but on the weekends you have better luck at seeing them there. The path is easy to walk or bike ride. I was able to take my mother who is in a wheel chair.

I love the glendale narrows river walk as it is right down the st from where I live. There is tons of wildlife and it makes you forget that you live in Los Angeles with its gorgeous scenery. I love taking a walk or a run with my girlfriend in the mornings all the way to the end of the trail and back.

This park is for those who like a variety of routines that can be strategized for keeping healthy and mentally clear. First, the new pedestrian and horse crossing bridge is a piece of art.

★★★★★ — Russell , Apr 2021

great place to ride bikes but with Colorado & the bridge construction kind of sucks blocking the bike path. i like that there are no cars to worry about. straight shot from Griffith Park to the 110 Frwy. & beyond. Ive been coming here for over 25 years & it just gets better all the time.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
