Confirmed from Great Seneca Park 355's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Great Seneca Park 355

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (56 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful- unfortunately sprained an ankle so was limited to photos of these little folks.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“2297997 This trail is great for a hike, dog walks, trail running.”

A beautiful section of Seneca Creek Greenway Trail right off busy Route 355. You get instant immersion in nature the moment you step on the trail. The creek, trail, and woodland setting are quite aesthetically pleasing. It’s about 3 miles to reach Watkins Mill Rd.

★★★★★ — Shaw , Feb 2023

Pretty nice trail. Parking lot is full of rocks and gravel, not super smooth. Trail itself is a natural, dirt path. The actual trail differs slightly from the path shown on Google maps, especially at the beginning close to 355.

★★★★☆ — S.M. , Mar 2020

great trail, very peaceful, but it is a natural trail so if you have young child it is impossible to go with a stroller (a lot of roots everywhere) or take a babycarrier.

★★★★☆ — Amélie , Sep 2017

Amazing area to hike and explore local wildlife and nature. You can see foxes, turtles (including snapping turtles), deer, raccoons, fish, owls, woodpeckers, cranes and more! Due to the abundance of wildlife you should also be wary of ticks.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
