Really nice place that makes you feel distant, even though it is close to civilization. Not a far hike into the woods is the lake, or Goose Pond. Some good bass fishing in here, not far if you have a light kayak or canoe. Shore fishing is just as good because of the points and culdesac areas.
Goose pond has just about all the possibilities for family recreation that a hiking, biking, canoeing, picnicking, etc recreational area should have. It is an easy half to one hour circuit around the whole pond even with a three year old hiker. Bring your leashed dog. Or...
This is the perfect lass than an hour hike or run. It feels 8 degrees cooler on hot days because it is around the pond. Great family hike. Only complaint I have is the amount of dog crap along the trail. Would you please please at least fling it into the woods.
Lovely scenery nice walk around the pond takes an hour to an hour and a half. One section you have to cross over a Spillway and your feet are going to get wet. Be prepared. Other than that it was a very scenic and nature friendly area
