Confirmed from Green Hill Rd Trailhead - Zacharias Creek trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Green Hill Rd Trailhead - Zacharias Creek trail
A pretty trail which is mostly flat. It winds along Zacharias Creek and thru shaded and open woodlands with some benches along the alway. The trail is estimated at 3.2 miles but can be extended if you follow the trail and markings, cross a street, then continue into the back of Heebner Park.
All paved so not my ideal hike with older kids, but perfect for a stroller! There is access to the creek at certain points of the trail, but for the most part the route is 20 feet or more off the water. There is a nice bench with views of the creek.
Great trail head that allows you to hike from green hill rd all the way to Heebner park. Trail goes from paved to gravel around half way. Parking lot can hold around 10 cars.

- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
