Confirmed from Grijalva Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
26.5-acre park featuring lighted multipurpose fields, playground, 2 picnic pavilions & green space.
What runners say about Grijalva Park
“There's a well-maintained dirt track that goes around the field and a path that goes behind the building and through some brush, for a more natural setting.”
“Beautiful park, with a great outdoors exercise area, soccer field, basketball courts, volleyball net, child play area, and multiple tables.”
“On Easter Day the picnic area was pretty full but there was still enough shade trees for us to set up our picnic.”
A favorite of mine with free parking for trail hiking or riding, as it’s safe and easily accessible with the upper and lower Santiago Trails! This park features lots of parking space, picnic areas, playgrounds, sports fields, courts and an outdoor gym.
Beautiful park. Perfect for jogging, walking your dog, and playing wiffleball. Also, this park is perfect for training my dog around distractions because there are usually other dogs there, but it's so open that you can see them coming from a distance. Note: dogs must be on a leash. Lots of open space.
Awesome park!! Lots of room to run and play. We had a VR House Parties event there and the kids had a blast!
Excellent park for fitness folks young or old. Nice machines under shade covers for muscle and flexible routines. Some machines have hydraulic resistance, some use your own body weight. Easy access and friendly folks here. Some have wheel chair stations as well.
Trail conditions & character
“Bathrooms were not that great, no toilet seats and no toilet paper when we went but they were at least on the cleaner side.”

“The only thing is they do not have a water fountain near the playground.”
