Confirmed from Groff Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
14-acre green space with ball fields, picnic areas & BBQs, plus a playground, trail & shallow river.

Over the summer of 2024 I went to Groff Park in Amherst twice. It was a sunny Saturday morning and we were going there for my son's classmate's birthday party. The grounds were great, there was tons of food and the atmosphere was quite nice.
Cozy under the shade of those beautiful big trees. My friends and I recently had a picnic gathering. We enjoyed the grill, picnic tables, and the open rest rooms. We went for a walk on the trail, which was beautiful! Enjoyed the brook, and the kids enjoyed the fun playground. Great outdoor day!

Nice park by the Fort river. Water park and playground. The Emily Dickinson trail follows along the Fort river and begins/ends at Groff park. There are picnic tables, grills, and a pavilion.

“A soccer field is available also and a pretty good-size slide that goes down the side of the hill to the meadow below that even I was compelled to try.”
