We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Haggetts Pond Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Path that's popular with walkers and dog walkers, plus a pond, a lake and a fishing spot.
What runners say about Haggetts Pond Trail
“The trail itself is well-kept and clean with many interesting stopping points along the walk.”
“Incredibly gorgeous hiking spot.”
“My husband and I used to walk our dog here for years, but since he injured his back, my husband has a tough time on this trail and the others in town.”
Incredibly gorgeous hiking spot. Truly one of my favorite places around. Lots of terrific views.
I Can't wait for the trail to reopen soon! (Hopefully August 2025?) I'm thrilled about the updates. My husband and I used to walk our dog here for years, but since he injured his back, my husband has a tough time on this trail and the others in town. Walking around the PLaystead track gets pretty boring for him.
A very good place to walk. The rail trail is flat, but there are more rugged trails to its sides. Parking can be a little sparse on the weekends. Lots of dogs but most people keep them leashed.
Other than a few piles of horse poop its a nice place to hike and explore
