Confirmed from Hammond Creek Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hammond Creek Dog Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (35 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Only visited while in town for a couple days but seems to be very well maintained.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Lots of trees for shade, benches to sit and watch, doggie playground equipment and a water fountain.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 5 mentions

“Very large area for a dog park and my dog loves it.”

This is a brand new dog park for Anderson County. Located in the county park. Our Govt folks came together to create a great place to take your dogs. Lots of space to run with objects to climb on as well.

LOVE THIS PARK! My dogs start whining and howling blocks before we get there because they know where we are heading! It is huge with plenty of room to run. It is the only dog park I've ever been to that had doggie playground equipment. They have agility equipment as well if that's you thing. There are two sides.

★★★★★ — Ted , May 2022

Great place for my Husky/Shepherd mix to run. The gentle slope of the area gives the dogs a good workout. Having separated areas for smaller dogs is good for the ones that are afraid of big dogs is good. The only downside is the doggie drinking fountain needs to be repaired and it can get kind of muddy after it rains.

★★★★★ — Dawn , May 2026

A spacious dog park divided for smaller and larger dogs. Lots of agility and obstacle course equipment. Human guardians can enjoy benches either in the shade of trees or under a shade sail/canopy. There's also a watering station for dogs and at least 1 station providing poop bags.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
