Confirmed from Harbors West Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Harbors West Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (110 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“It was a beautiful day at such an awesome park, the park was very well kept and had many different activities for families.”

The park was very nice and quiet. A true hidden gem of a park. The playground is nice and maintained. There was also a hockey court, volleyball court, and a basketball court. There is also a paved path that goes around the park. Not to mention the covered panic area. Great park to spend the day at.

This place is great. We refer to it as the bike park because of the 0.35 mile asphalt path that surrounds the park. In fact, we taught all of our kids how to ride bikes here.

★★★★★ — Tom , Aug 2017

We love this part for the bike path that goes all the way around it. The kids love to play basketball volleyball and is even an area for them to skate. Also an area for kids ages 3+ to play and 4 swings.

★★★★★ — Dianna , Aug 2016

Close to my home, so I visited several times at morning or evening except snow day. So clean and quite. I could feed so comfortable at this park. My daughter and wife like as well. Small running or tracking course, clean restroom, basketball and hockey area.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“The park has tennis courts, basketball hoops, a large field, walking trails, a decent playground, and a pavilion with restrooms and drinking fountains.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
