Confirmed from Harvard Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Community park with amenities such as a playground, basketball and tennis courts, and a kiddie pool.
What runners say about Harvard Park
“Well-maintained walking path around the stadium and a decent playground for kids.”
“Good job on cleaning it up and making it more family friendly!”
This park had bad history because of violence and yes, there is some people that honestly made you not want to go there. The park has been remodeled. There is always police supervision.
I didn’t learn anything at Harvard Park because, at first, I thought it was a school. With a name like that, I expected classrooms, professors, maybe even a library filled with old books and deep knowledge waiting to be uncovered.
I was born and raised down the street from this park and let me just say this is not the same park that it was in the 90s. It has a skate park, remodeled pool running trail and it's just overall cleaner than it has ever been. I may be imagining it but it also seems safer than ever.
I love this park! I usually walk past it, but today there was a festival so I stopped by. This park is so beautiful, safe and family friendly!
Trail conditions & character
“No lectures, no students frantically taking notes—just joggers, dog walkers, and kids playing on the grass.”
“There's no one hanging out around the park or in the parking lot like there used to be and the police patrol the park fairly often.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
