Confirmed from Hazelnut Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hazelnut Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (122 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is a nice small park. There's a nice trail, probably 1/4-1/3 mile that loops around to the public trail on the rear side of the park, and then back into the park a little way later. In the park there's your usual playground, basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer amenities, and a small shades pavilion.

★★★★★ — Ryan , May 2022

It's a cute park. A soccer field, playground, walking path, tennis court, and parking which is shared with a church. It was sad to see that there were more soccer cars than there were church going cars. (Maybe online, like me. Lol!)

Used the walking path for dog training. Noticed they let dogs on the ice rink starting in May,. We will return

★★★★★ — Mary , Apr 2021

Very beautiful Park nothing wrong with the park, but some people that use it think that because there are cones, signs, and flagging tape crossing the path, staying out doesn't apply to them even while machines are running they run right by.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says

  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
