Confirmed from Hidden Canyon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (364 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“Clean, nice walking paths, 2 grassy areas at either end with play structure in center for kids.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Beautiful park with two great playgrounds (one for smaller children and one for bigger kids).”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Some benches and shaded areas for the adults to sit”

Still a great park, but its equipment could use a little attention. My 4 year old grandson absolutely loves this park! Every time we roll into town, he wants to come here. It's just what we do! Fun place to let him run around and wear off some energy.

Cute little park tucked away in a community. Great views. Note: GPS will give you instructions to this park even for the dog park which is in a different location and confusing. Did not see dog park then decided to take Little trail up the hill. Surprise there was a dog park!

Im from Oceanside&this is a Great park! Clean, nice walking paths, 2 grassy areas at either end with play structure in center for kids. Nice&clean bathrooms with seat covers! Take good gravel path to the left of bathrooms&it took me up to the huuuge fenced in dog park with at least 15 separate benches for us humans.

We love this park! We're from out of state but get to this area somewhat frequently to see family. We travel with our dog, so this park is wonderful -we take our dog to the dog park, then after he runs off his energy, we walk down the hill to let our grandson run off his energy!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
