Confirmed from Hidden Valley Wildlife Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Excellent area for horse riding bike riding just hiking I just enjoyed it all day was beautiful”

Lovely trail! Not too challenging for cross country runners but great for long runs or hill repeats. My kids and dogs love it! Just be careful on the hill area, sometime there are coyotes around and adult ones. Parking is spacious and bike and running trail feels endless.

Love these trails and I wish people would clean up after themselves. Otherwise beautiful, open skies , lots of trails.

★★★★★ — Meghan , Feb 2024

Perfect place to go hiking and mountain biking! Plenty of views, wild life, and trails!

★★★★★ — Sal , Feb 2023

Spring is the most beautiful time for this place. With green covering the hills, still cool and fresh, it's one of the best places yo visit around the area. Paved and well Maintained bike trail along the santa Ana River, you get many miles to ride. Also they have some gravel and dirt trails for horses.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
