We love coming here and hiking around. The trails are well marked, but be sure to have a map just in case. The main trail at one point passes a lean-to and crosses a stream. In the stream there are some cool rocks and if you are interested in rocks or fossils, take a look.
The management of this place is incredible! Huge parking lot in front of skyline lodge. 3 separate trail tracks for cross country skiing, skate skiing, and hiking/snowshoeing. Sign in at trailhead so that if you are in trouble, they will know. The hiking trails (M,L,K,T) are dog friendly and so well marked.
Nice country atmosphere. Agency retreat with approximately 100 staff present. Nice conference room and they allowed food to be catered in. A lot of ways to relax mostly enjoying the scenic view sitting out on the deck. Absolutely amazing!
Many beautiful trails! You can rent horses too! Sits on a mountain top. Lodge has a multitude of old photos of the farming. A pioneer museum you can view by appointment. Beautiful place!
