Confirmed from Hiking Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hiking Trail
“A short easy hike trail with a great 360 view of the surrounding city”
A 30 mins walk is absolutely worthy, to see dublin from the heights. All the Refreshing winds and awesome view of the city
Great for a long walk and mountain views. Good experience and lots of nature around without traffic risk.
This trail starts right after the Dougherty Dog Park and has rolling hills right from the start. The first hill is somewhat steep and you may need a moment to catch your breath but the hills from there are manageable and it has a great view and bright enough city lights to keep walking through twilight.
This is a moderate trail, perfect for families and dog lovers. The first five minutes may feel a bit challenging, but don’t let that deter you. If you have any heart or blood pressure concerns, it might be best to consider your options. Otherwise, this hiking trail offers a rewarding experience that we truly enjoyed!

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
