Confirmed from Homestead Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with a rhododendron garden, a playground, and picnic tables, plus benches and paths.
What runners say about Homestead Park
“I highly recommend Homestead Park for its great community vibe and well-maintained trails.”
“Nice park to basically lay down on the grass and look at the beautiful scenery, nice grass area, the memorial trees are amazing.”
“Not only does this place give great shade and walk about trail, but when you have it to yourself, you can play football 😉 🏈”
“Pretty quiet although against main road breaks the peaceful experience.”
It's incredibly small, but kids will still love it. Apart from the toys there's a small field area, and also a short walking path filled with lots of beautiful flowers. Trees surround this whole area, so it's in the shade most times. Great in the summer, but can make it pretty chilly at other times.
Really pretty and well-maintained city park. It's just a small city block, but landscaped with small trails through trees. Great for a quick dogwalk. We stop there to stretch our legs on our rare long drives to Whole Foods just down the street.
Not only does this place give great shade and walk about trail, but when you have it to yourself, you can play football 😉 🏈
What a great resource for the community. Perfect shade on a hot day and the rhododendron in late May and early June are incredible and vibrant.
