Confirmed from Hopewell Area Recreation & Parks' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hopewell Area Recreation & Parks
“Well maintained open spaces and lots of friendly local faces greet at this hometown haven.”
Pretty nice park with a walking trail around the park. Nothing too special but there is a nice section through the forest and small bridges over a creek. Good for a walk especially if you have a dog. Of course there are Soccer fields and baseball.
Our grandchildren call this Granddad & Grandma Park. They love the playground, and the fields. The pavilion was perfect for sitting out a thunderstorm, sharing lunch and even watching a soccer game in damp weather. The paved walkways are a pleasure, even when the fields are wet. A good choice for recreation!
All of the important activities in Stewartstown happen here. There is a concession building that is open during holiday events and such. The baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball court, and walking track are here as well as 2 playgrounds.
This park is the cleanest well kept park I have ever been to. It has a nice walking trail. People bring their dogs for walks ,tennis courts. There is a picnic area. I love it and will continue to spend beautiful days with the kids there
Trail conditions & character
“Would give it 5 stars but dogs are running loose there pretty often.”
