One of the best parks in the area. An excellent larger than normal playground with unique attractions. A smaller secondary playground for smaller children. Large grassy area with large hills that kids will love running/rolling down. Large trees provide shady areas for picnics.
Actually a mice park for kids. Higher up the hill than other parks. But at the back has these small hills great for sledding, ski or snowboarding practice over the winter. Good for ice blocking in the summer. The hills are good for kids to do all the above on. Teens and adults will want bigger hills.
Park is clean and has many toys. One of the playgrounds is more suited for younger children while the other is more for older children. It’s great except my two year old wants to go on the bigger toys which are terrifyingly tall for a 2 year old :) it’s a great park though. Has a large field and hill.
Hunter Park is a favorite spot for quiet rambling walks on summer evenings, sledding hill in the winter, and play dates for the kids. The city shows outdoor movies here a few times during the summer. The two strikes against it are no restrooms and occasional late night questionable activity.
