Confirmed from Ironwoods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
115-acre park featuring 4 cabins, a wooded walking trail, play equipment & a nature center.
What runners say about Ironwoods Park
“Great clean trail for dog walks, kids, etc.”
“Beautiful park with a lot of amenities from playground, wooded trail, walking path, and ropes course.”
This park is awesome. It's a real gem hidden back here. There are miles of walking trails, a little pond (which I can assume one can fish in?), and a playground for the little ones.
A little more connected playground equipment than at most JOCO parks. Would not recommend for the under 3 crowd because there are a lot of spots where kids can climb down from high places where a little one could walk off. However for those between 3-9ish this layout is a lot of fun.
Large park with three cabins, activity course for social gatherings, walking path and playground with decent parking and one covered picnic area. I only came for the playground but it was slightly muddy and fairly busy with a party renting the picnic area. Go between 2-3pm between rented parties.
This is a wonderful park. We used to visit the play ground often. Most recently though we a took group of Girl Scouts here to stay in the cabins. We enjoyed hiking the pleasant trails. The park has a nice nature center and old school house both put on fantastic programs for us on our visit.
Trail conditions & character
“We have watched this park progress from simple acreage and a scummy pond to a nice amphitheatre with real bathrooms, several parking areas, an actual permanent stage.”
