Confirmed from Island View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational venue with a playground, picnic tables, and barbecue grills, plus disc golf.
What runners say about Island View Park
“This park seems to always be very clean and well kept up.”
“Bathrooms, good tee pads, and lots of trees and shade.”
We love coming here. There's a bigger big toy for older kids and a smaller one for little ones. Dog friendly, even has doggy bag stations. Lots of space to run, basketball court, and a decent distance of sidewalk for waking, with lots of hips and downs.
Wish they would bring back the picnic tables. Love the walk around trail. Great place to walk your dogs. Lots of kids in the area. Green, pretty, clean!
Fun, short Par 3 Frisbee Golf course. Can be a busy place with kids running around, we'll it's a park so live it up kids!
Love this park we go here daily to walk our dogs. Love the street lights inside the park.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
