Confirmed from Jakey Hollow's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Jakey Hollow

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (18 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful spot for walking, hiking and sitting in fallen trees to admire the creek.”

We went midday in June and it was sunny and beautiful. Not for young children or inexperienced hikers. The hill down to the hollow is fairly steep. I recommend wearing sneakers or hiking boots. The foliage, sound, and sights are worth the investigation here. Very peaceful!

Nice easy hike. Some deadfall that needs cleared but nothing my old broken knees couldn't easily get around. As far as I can tell complaints about maintenance are from folks who must be used to flat city trails.

★★★★★ — Tyson , Nov 2024

Travel at your own risk. This sign heading up the dirt road says it all. We only went about 1/2 mile into the trail then came back out as the trail was getting hard to follow. It’s not well maintained. This trail runs along a creek and would be awesome with a little upkeep. Me and the kids had a blast.

Beautiful spot for walking, hiking and sitting in fallen trees to admire the creek. Sadly, it's not maintained, so lots of fallen trees make the trail difficult to find or navigate.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 3 mentions
