Confirmed from Jamison Sullivan North Hill Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife refuge with trails for hiking and walking around a cranberry bog, ponds, and stone walls.
What runners say about Jamison Sullivan North Hill Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary
“Beautiful trails and a different sort of forest than you'd see near Boston: more pine trees and sandier soil.”
“co-managed with duxbury, so not as well marked as most MAS sanctuaries.”
Beautiful trails and a different sort of forest than you'd see near Boston: more pine trees and sandier soil. But the site is not well-marked. There is no Audubon sign near the road. Also, as one may expect with a marsh, quite buggy.
A long, brisk walk in the woods of town #175 towards my goal of hiking every city and town of Massachusetts. I parked directly south of “1” in the dirt lot/loop, then hiked past “Y” through 1, 5, 4, 2 and finally back to 1 & Y.
Nice trails, quiet and peaceful. Went there for spring bird watching with Elyse. Have experience biking there as well. Trails are beginner/intermediate, Sandy to packed dirt. Dries fast.
Lots of trail to walk or mountain bike with nice pond views & a couple of look out spots.

The practical stuff

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
