Confirmed from Jaycee Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Jaycee Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (147 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“I like this place because it is very clean not very many cracks in the asphalt around the park.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Went with kids in autumn and it was beautiful.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Clean bathrooms and great shade.”

It has an open field with a tennis court and basketball court. They also have a long walking trail around the park. The playground is currently under construction but I know it will probably be the best once they are finished.

Great park! Plenty to do for our littles! Clean bathrooms and great shade.

★★★★★ — Benjamin , Jun 2025

My 2 year old grandson enjoyed this park a lot! The equipment was perfect for his age! Lots of nice kids to play with! It's nice to have flushy's and a water fountain! The only thing that bothered me was the high cement walk ways! Too easy for small children to fall from!

★★★★☆ — Rebecca , Jun 2021

Beautiful park. Walking path around it. Big open area. Sand volleyball, basketball court, tennis court, and shelter with clean restrooms. Wonderful play area for kids with lots of room to swing, slide, and climb. Very pleasant place.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 5 mentions

“Playground was nice but the drop from the concrete to the rocks on the playground was like a foot so watch your littles if they can't see/comprehend the difference in height”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
