Confirmed from Jim Jeffers Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Outdoor space with lighted basketball & tennis courts, a lake & a large, colorful playground.
What runners say about Jim Jeffers Park
“This is a great place to come play soccer, run, basketball, wing , and it even has a grill.”
“Kids loved it- only complaint is there’s not enough seats for parents and especially not in the shade!”
“Great park for kids of all ages!”
When it comes to the playground, restroom and covered facilities, I can honestly say it’s the best park to let your kids run around at, plenty of shade for the play equipment, it’s all fenced in with seating for the adults. I’ve been to every park in Cape with my daughter and this is the best.
My son plays for the Dutch Lions and this is the field we play on. The fields could use some help but I heard they are "doing something about them!" The playset is pretty cool and big. This is a great place to come play soccer, run, basketball, wing , and it even has a grill.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
