Confirmed from John Burge Park at Shadow Lakes' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about John Burge Park at Shadow Lakes
“This is a beautiful and well maintained park.”
“Beautiful, peaceful, great place to take a walk among nature.”
This is a lovely park with a playground, bathrooms, covered pavilion, ample parking, small pond, and walking trails. The walking trails are nicely shaded with plenty of trees. The park is dog friendly and even has waste bags available if you forget to bring some.
1st time here and my younger kids loved the playground, older ones loves the trails. Will be going back on a regular basis. Definitely a new favorite.
It looks very peaceful but it has a nice amphitheater and a cute play set. The 3/4 mile trail was just right.
The disc golf course is amazing. When you out on the walking trail you may end up on the disc course, just watch for flying disc's, and remember walking with the course (concrete to basket not basket to concrete) is the way to go. The walking trail goes around the disc course not on the disc golf course.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
